The Master of Hospital Administration (MHA) is a two-year postgraduate program offered by the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), headquartered in Thrissur, Kerala. This course is designed to equip students with advanced skills in hospital administration, preparing them for leadership roles within the healthcare sector.

  • Duration: 2 years (full-time)​

  • Mode: Full-time​

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. Specific eligibility criteria may vary among affiliated institutions; for instance, some may prefer candidates with backgrounds in science, commerce, or professional degrees. 

Course Structure:

The MHA program spans two years, comprising 14 papers and a total of 2,150 hours of lectures. Additionally, students are required to complete 60 days of project work in reputed hospitals. ​

Admission Process:

Admissions are typically based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Prospective students should apply through the official KUHS admission portal or contact affiliated institutions for specific application procedures and deadlines. It's important to note that some institutions may have additional criteria or reservation policies. ​

Career Opportunities:

Graduates of the MHA program can pursue managerial positions in hospitals, healthcare organizations, and public health institutions. Roles may include hospital administrator, healthcare manager, operations manager, and policy advisor, among others.
