On February 23, 2025, at 5:30 PM, the foundation stone laying ceremony for the new venture—the Nursing College under St. Joseph's Hospital Trust, Manjummel—was held.
The Associate Director of the hospital, Fr. Jinson Rodrigues, welcomed everyone.
Dr. Augustine Mullur conducted the blessing ceremony of the foundation stone.
The chief guest, Hon. Shri P. Rajeev, Minister for Industries, Law, and Coir, Government of Kerala, laid the foundation stone. In his address, he expressed his best wishes, stating that every building where he laid the foundation stone had achieved great success, and he hoped this Nursing College would also rise to great heights. He also assured his complete support for the project.
Dr. Sneha Reddy, CEO and Founder of Sneha Reddy Foundation and a distinguished guest, shared insights about upcoming collaborative initiatives with St. Joseph's Hospital to support underprivileged patients. Following this, she handed over a Letter of Interest (LOI) to the hospital’s director, Fr. Lalju Polparambil, in the presence of all dignitaries. She expressed her willingness to work together more closely with the hospital in the future.
Fr. Anuprathap, Associate Director of the hospital, delivered the vote of thanks.
As a gesture symbolizing unity with nature and environmental responsibility in the field of healthcare, an eco-friendly movement was launched by planting trees with the slogans:
"Join hands with the earth, plant a tree."
"Grow a tree, grow the future."
